Carden
Services for Nellie Mae Carden, 89, of Anniston will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Usrey-Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Pell City with Rev. Doug Ford
officiating. Burial will be in Cresswell Cemetery in Eastaboga. The family will receive friends 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Carden died Thursday in
Ragland.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha Thompson of Anniston and Shirley Lefever of Clayton, Ga.; two sons, Winford Carden and Ray Carden, both of
Anniston; a sister, Annie Mae Harlin of Theodore; a daughter-in-law, Martha Carden of Ragland; 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren,
and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Clay Thompson, Terry Carden, Joey Cooper, Kevin Isbell, John Kay and David Johns.
Mrs. Carden was
preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Gussie Mae Carroll; her husband, Gete E. Carden; four sons, Ronald Carden, Robert Carden, Edward Carden and Billy Carden; a
daughter, Sybil Johnson; three brothers, Bruell Carroll, Henry Carroll and M.C. Carroll; and a sister, Mandy Rasmund.
