Bertha Laney Carroll
Aunt Bertha was the wife of my cousin
Joe Carroll. She was also the
sister of my Grandfather, George Laney. Aunt Bertha used to cook a lot of good
food, and had a lot of company to eat on week-ends. The table would be piled
high with fried chicken and any kind of vegetable you could imagine. You
certainly felt like you were at
home when you went there for dinner.
Aunt Bertha used to take care of aunt Addie Lee, who was wheel chair bound. Other than her children, she also had a boarder named Mr. Palmer. I don't remember who he was or what his occupation was; but he was a likeable person.
If you remember anything about aunt Bertha that you would like me to mention; send it to me, and I will be glad to put it up.
